2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO. When the website is accessed, technical access data may be processed automatically by the web server, including information about the requested page, date and time of access, browser information, transferred data volume and network/provider data. STRATO states that host names or client IP addresses are anonymised in the log files available to hosting customers.

The processing of these technical data is necessary to provide the website securely and reliably, to detect technical problems and to protect the website against misuse.

3. Device detection and store redirect

The landing page uses local JavaScript in the visitor's browser to detect whether the device is running Android or iPhone/iPad. Based on this information, visitors may be redirected automatically to Google Play or the Apple App Store. This device detection is performed locally in the browser and is not used by BugBox to create user profiles.

4. Apple App Store and Google Play badges

The website displays official App Store and Google Play marketing badges. These badge images are loaded from Apple and Google servers. As a result, technical connection data such as the visitor's IP address may be transmitted to the respective provider when the page is loaded.

If a visitor clicks a store badge or is redirected automatically, the visitor leaves this website and the privacy rules of Apple or Google apply to the destination service.

5. Instagram and Facebook

This website contains links to BugBox profiles on Instagram and Facebook. The social-media icons used on this website are stored locally on the BugBox webspace. No connection to Meta is established merely by displaying these locally stored images. A connection to Instagram or Facebook is made only when the corresponding link is clicked.

6. Email contact

If you contact BugBox by email, the information you provide will be processed for the purpose of handling and responding to your request.

7. Cookies and analytics

The current BugBox landing page does not itself set analytics or marketing cookies and does not use its own web analytics service. Third-party services reached through external links may use their own technologies under their respective privacy policies.
